Hat and Fat 1 Year Anniversary – Monday Strip

The strip today is by none other than the skilled and hilarious Stephen McGhee of Raindog Comic. There’s not much more I can say about Stephen than what I’ve said on this website before about him, but the man is brilliant. If you’re not familiar with Raindog Comic, it follows Max, Ron and Company and the ins and outs, ups and downs, of running a record shop. But it’s really more than that. It’s about characters and catastrophes, personalities and pranks, sisterhood and shenanigans.
Okay, I lied on that last one. But it is absolutely one HECK of a webcomic that keeps getting better with every strip…no matter what Reddit thinks.

The art comes from Ethan Kocak of The Black Mudpuppy fame. Have to say The Black Mudpuppy is one that I’ve recently brought into my circulation of web comics. So I’m gonna allow the author/creator himself to tell a bit about it:
The comic tells the story of a would be Aztec god, known as Xolotl. Xolotl is the God of Fire and the Underworld in Aztec mythology. He’s kind of a jerk in this story though, so he’s banished into the body of an axolotl for 491 years, at which point he is semi-freed under the condition that he has to do good deeds for mortals in order to earn back his full powers.
I will tell you this though, it’s just the kind of long-form comic I like. Mixing humor and action seamlessly making for one exciting, entertaining—enlightening—web comic.

Visit both of these guys and fall in love with their stories just as I’ve done:
